Gym, collective shower, swimming pool… Watch out for warts! Even if plantar warts can disappear in just a few days, the risk of recurrence is very present. It is therefore important to examine your skin after each swim in hot water and to consult a podiatrist, especially when your skin is damaged!
The plantar wart is a benign condition resulting from a virus, it is transmitted from individual to individual by direct or indirect contact with the contaminated surface on the soles of the feet. Not very contagious but too unsightly to miss, plantar warts must be treated immediately by your specialist.
To make warts disappear, there are 2 options: either remove them ourselves using a pharmaceutical treatment or choose a pedicure-podiatrist. To remove the wart, the foot specialist can use different techniques: nitrogen or K – laser.
Nitrogen consists of burning the wart by performing cryotherapy which will freeze and then destroy the skin cells. After the procedure is completed, a blister will form, a few days later it will take the wart with it. Even if it is particularly effective, this method remains somewhat painful.
K Laser therapy generates bio-stimulation that accelerates the healing of all tissues. The session with the K-laser is relatively short: count only between 2 and 15 min depending on the area to be treated. This therapy is ideal for adults and children since it is gentle and doesn’t cause any pain.
