A gel polish is a type of nail polish that is used with a UV/LED lamp. The lamps allow the gel to harden and guarantee rapid drying for a varnish that lasts up to 3 weeks. In this blog, your nail supply expert Maryton will tell you how to use acetone remover and aluminum foil. Keep reading!
The preparation
Start by removing the gel layer using a nail file. Then rub the skin around the nails with a cuticle oil to soften and nourish the cuticles. When removing the gel polish, the oil will provide a protective layer against the acetone remover.
Remove varnish
Place the cotton on your nail and roll it up in the foil to form small twists. Be careful to tighten the aluminum well so that the solvent can act directly on contact with the nail. For the papillotes, let them act for 10 minutes. Using a cuticle pusher, first try removing the gel with one finger to see if it comes off easily.
Care
First wash your hands with soap and water to remove gel and nail polish remover residue. Then use a cream to nourish and moisturize your hands.
In order to care for your nails, I advise you to invest in a complete manicure kit!
