The different Nail Art drawing techniques

Nail styling is an exciting profession in which creation has no limits! Nail stylists take inspiration from painting techniques to transform nails into true works of art. In this article, Maryton Nail Supply will show different drawing techniques for beginners in nail art. Just keep reading!

One stroke

One stroke is a Nail Art technique which consists of creating designs on the nail using a brush soaked in 2 colors of Nail Art acrylic paint. Applying a light color and a dark color at the same time makes it very easy to work with gradients and thus obtain depth and volume.

This technique allows you to create superb floral designs. As in painting and drawing, it is the contrast between shadow and light which creates relief and brings your motif to life. One-stroke designs are created with flat and/or beveled nail art brushes and acrylic paint.

Stamping

Stamping is a technique that allows you to create nail designs on false nails or on natural nails, very quickly, using a stamp. Stamping consists more precisely of transferring an engraved pattern into a plate using a stamp and a special stamping varnish. For the transfer to work correctly, the varnish must be very pigmented and opaque.

The foil

Foil is an ultra-thin metallic finish paper, sold in the form of rolls. It gives a unique metallic appearance to the nail that is impossible to obtain otherwise. The foil technique consists of sticking the foil on all or part of the nail, which, like gold leaf, metallizes it.

You can possibly apply the foil directly to the sticky residue of a UV gel provided that it is a special foil UV gel. In this case, we place the foil after lengthening the nail and lengthening the plate, on the sticky color gel, before continuing with construction, filing and finishing with any additional decoration.

3D

3D is an impressive nail art technique that allows you to sculpt any design of your choice in 3D on the nail. Flowers, fruits, ribbons, roses, lace, Santa Claus, everything is possible! 3D nail decorations are made from gel or resin.
